Femmusic (www.femmusic.com) is the new national online magazine focusing on emerging women in music and covers all genres of music. The November
issue has interviews with Patty Larkin, Lucy Kaplansky, the band Low, and Liz Larizza, as well as CD reviews, Artist of the Month, and many other features.
Jim McGuire's Nashville Portraits website displays some of his photographs from 30 years of working in Nashville.
Ilow Kernow (www.ilow.kernow.eu.org) is a site set up by and for Cornish music which aims to make Cornish traditional music more accessible. This site
provides a traditional music archive, a listing of artists, CD distribution, and an on-line music shop.
The MPB Zone: Musica Popular Brasileira has changed its name to The Brazilian Sound and relocated its web site to www.thebraziliansound.com.

Believe it or not, it's not all Java-theater and blinking banners... there's still lots to READ on the internet. Dirty Linen can't do it all alone!
- fROOTS... The U.K. magazine covering folk and roots music. A promo site with samples from the current issue, and the huge U.K. and Europe festival
listing. Good links to other resources, too.
- RootsWorld, an online-only magazine of world and roots music. Available only on the web or via e-mail.
- Sing Out! is one of America's oldest and most quoted folk music magazines. A promotional site for the magazine, plus some midi fiiles you can download of
the songs in some issues.
- Musical Traditions Internet Magazine focuses on truly traditional music from around the world. A net only magazine with all content available online.
- Rhythm calls itself a "world music magazine with lifestyle oriented coverage." This site is a promotional site for the magazine with some reviews, plus tour
schedules and info on radio stations.
- NTAMA, Journal of African Music and Popular Culture
- The Living Tradition, "the home of folk music on the web."
- Many Dirty Linen writers have their own pages of reviews, archives, sounds and interviews.

rec.music.folk is one of the busiest and most diverse of the musical bulletin boards on the 'net.
rec.music.folk.old-time is where fans of Charlie Poole meet the Wretched Refuse String Band.
rec.music.celtic covers what you would expect...
rec.music.bluenote.blues is also pretty obvious...
alt.music.world is a small group discussing the indefinable "world music" genre, and includes folks from all over the planet.
rec.music.afro-latin is another low-volume group discussing music from Africa and the Caribbean, with plenty of knowledgeable folks involved.
alt.music.african and alt.music.arabic cover just what they say.
